I'll stamp all over 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
